Katie Miclette, Wine Educator
Katie Miclette brings a dedicated expertise and sharp analytical eye to the couch + cork team. She is continuously deepening her knowledge of the industry. Currently, she is an Argentinian Wine Specialist and Napa Valley Wine Expert. Katie is working toward her Wines from Georgia certification. Her approach to wine is grounded in a fascination with the science of the vine—she is particularly passionate about how soil composition, climate, and viticultural decisions shape the wines we know and love, and she is an active student of how shifting global climates will redefine the wines of the future.
Beyond the glass, Katie’s commitment to community is clear. She founded her own dog training company in 2011 and is nationally certified by the Council for the Certification of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Her extensive work includes partnering with the Second Chance Animal Center and serving as a regular therapy dog handler for a private drug rehabilitation program.
